Jeep Wrangler and Gran Cherokee Arrives in 2013
Fiat India officially announced the arrival of Jeep brand to India.Jeep wrangler and Gran Cherokee will be the first two models that come to India.Fiat all set to start their second innings in India after their come back.Fiat India hasn’t got the market share in India.There products was not very strong.But with the introduction of other brands from Jeep they could certainly Make a impact.Jeep brand is owned by Chrysler which is owned by Fiat.
Chrysler president and chief executive officer Mike Manley said that "The company is aiming to have 5 percent market share in India in near future and for that it is planning to launch new vehicles as Asia Pacific is one of the most prominent markets for Fiat. Even though, taking first entry in India, Fiat has lagged behind from its European and U.S. competitors in Asia region, and failed to chink the highly competitive low-priced cars segment in India."
Fiat brings the two SUVs to India through CBU.So the pricing will be on premium.But they are also preparing compact SUVs for India which will be assembled here.Fiat India will sell Jeep brands through the 32 dealers in 25 cities.So they got the dealer network also.Fiat will launch both these SUVs in third Quarter of 2013.Jeep Wrangler makes the debut first on October 2013 then Gran Cherokee.Both the brands got good fans in India.Fiat expect good numbers for the Jeep SUVs.
