Audi started testing of the A3 sedan.Audi A3 sedan is the most important model for Audi which is developed for emerging markets.Audi A3 sedan will be the cheapest Audi available in India after the launch.Audi A3 sedan testing started only couple of weeks of ago.So we can expect the product to start in 2014.Audi A3 sedan was testing in a private track in southern Europe.
From the pictures A3 sedan looks spacious.But Audi A3 sedan will be shorter than A4.We can expect styling similar to the A3 hatch back and other Audi Models.Audi A3 sedan is based on the MQB platform from Volkswagen.Audi will assemble the A3 sedan in India.Then they can price it well.Engine range for A3 sedan will be similar to the A3 hatch back.
Mercedes and BMW are also bringing there compact sedans and hatch backs to India.While Audi has no intention to bring the A3 hatch back in India.Mercedes A class and BMW 1 series arrives next year.Audi will show the production ready model of A3 sedan in next years Frankfurt Motor show.
