Renault Series Close Up Electric Vehicle
With the Kangoo be bop Pm (Zero Emission) Renault allowed a wider outlook on the future plans to introduce electric vehicles.
The electric motor of the Kangoo be bop Pm (Zero Emission) provides 44 kW/60 hp at 12,000 1/min. The advanced lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 15 kWh and will allow to launch a range of 160 kilometers, with Renault shares. Via an integrated cable, the battery could be in easy load, within 30 minutes of charging up to 80 percent again. A full charge in standard mode is possible overnight.
The highly efficient lithium-ion battery is being developed by the Nissan Partners AESC (Automotive Electric Supply Corporation) and produced. This energy storage offering to nickel-metal hydride batteries significant advantages in terms of capacity, reliability, security, size, weight and viability. "The battery has planned throughout the life cycle of six years with a cargo capacity of 80 to 100 percent," it said.
Renault is developing together with around 20 car manufacturers and the German RWE group a new, universal power supply. The new connector was first introduced in April 2009 at the Hanover Fair and will now come in all electric cars from Renault used. In the final stage is to enable the plug connecting the charging in 20 minutes.
