The 2012 Lexus GS F Reviews Release and Pricing

The Lexus GS-F sedan will arrive in 2013 gets a detuned LFA’s 4.8-litre V10 engine. This high performance Lexus GS-F sedan plans to take on the BMW M5 series. Really? First, it needs to challenge the Infiniti M or G series before taking on the champion. It doesn’t mean that if you slap on a bigger engine, you are good to go higher.

Take the 500-plus-horsepower, Formula 1-inspired sub-5.0-liter V-10 slated for the 2010 Lexus LF-A supercar, drop it in the body of the all-new 2011 GS sedan, and whatve you got? The 2012 Lexus GS-F. Watch out, BMW M5, Audi RS6, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, and 2009 Cadillac CTS-v!

Details are sketchy, but engineers are said to be protecting the next-generation GS to be able to package the supercars V-10. The GS-F apparently hasnt been approved for production. It would be a good idea, though, and not just for enthusiasts. It would cut engine costs through higher volume than by building it just for the exclusive supercar.

The 2012 GS will be built on a brand new platform which will be sportier and more efficient. The engine line-up will include a new V6 engine and a 3.5 liter engine that will replac
e the current 4.6-liter V-8. A hybrid version has also been confirmed.

As for the GS-F version, it won’t get the same 4.8 Liter V10 engine as the LF-A. Instead Lexus will offer an upgraded version of the 5.0-liter V-8 from the IS-F, developing around 450 HP. It will also get a torque vectoring differential on the rear axle and a weight reductio
n thanks to the use of carbon-fiber. The GS-F will go on sale in 2013.
