Mahindra launched Ssangyong Rexton In India.Mahindra has been testing Rexton in India for some time now.But there are looking for a right time for the launch.Mahindra wants maximum buzz around Rexton.So they decided to launch Rexton in the festival season.Mahindra Launched Rexton with two variants.Ssangyong Rexton RX5 (manual) and RX7 (automatic).

Rexton is powered by 2.7 5 cylinder which tuned differently for both variants.RX5 variant gets 162 BHP @ 4000 RPM and 340 Nm @ 1800-3250 RPM.while RX7 gets 184 BHP @ 4000 RPM and 402 NM @ 1600- 3000 RPM.This engine is mated to a 5 speed manual for the RX5 variant and 5 speed automatic for the RX7 variant.RX7 variant gives 11.18 kmpl under ARAI.

Rexton is available in 4 colors black,purple,silver and white.Rexton is made in Mahindras chakan plant.Rexton has 22 % localization and rest of the parts arrive from Korea.Mahindra has invested 63 crore RS for brining Rexton.Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton RX5 is priced at RS 17.67 Lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai) and the Rexton RX7 is priced at RS 19.67 Lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).Rexton is available across the Mahindra dealerships.
